Scott was raised in Shelbyville by parents Virgil and Pat Johnson and attended our public schools. While in school, Scott worked on his family's cattle farm as well as on several of the Farrar family farms in the Flat Creek community of District 5. After graduating from college, he served in the armed forces for over two decades and eventually returned home to serve our county as a public safety official. Scott has been actively involved and invested in our community as a volunteer in various organizations. He is married to the former Alice Tune of Shelbyville, a local speech language pathologist at Vanderbilt Hospital Bedford. They have two adult children and two very active grandchildren.
Military Service - Retired United States Air Force / Served our country on active duty for 23 years to include on an international terrorism task force
County Government - Appointed by the County Commission as the Bedford County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director / After his military service returned home to keep our county residents safe for 17 years
